Consider for a moment . . . what would our legal system, our courts, our legislative offices look like if over every door where hung these words:

LOVE DOES NO HARM TO A NEIGHBOR (Romans 13:10)

Child-simple.

Even the beautiful, wondrous fullness of Scripture, at least of the law, is summed up in those seven words:

LOVE DOES NO HARM TO A NEIGHBOR

Of course, the difficult part sometimes is trying to get our neighbors to see how simple it would be not to harm us! Still, we remind ourselves that we are here for salt and light, not sound and fury. We are not (supposed to be) the fingernails on the chalkboard of life, gaining attention, losing respect.

After all, there are three other words to be found in our Bibles that can hold us up and strengthen us and take us the distance:

LOVE NEVER FAILS!
